|Pride Month at Teva|
Throughout the month of June, Teva is celebrating LGBT Pride Month as part of our commitment to Inclusion and Diversity. LGBT Pride Month is an annual observance of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender history, and the history of the gay rights and related civil rights movements. Our Pride Month theme is “The Courage to Be.” It’s a way of saying that we at Teva welcome everyone and stand for full self-expression in the workplace.
As part of Teva’s Inclusion Network, we have a Pride Employee Resource Group (ERG), which is a is a group for LGBT employees and allies. The Pride ERG serves as the voice of inclusion and acceptance that fosters a workplace of open dialog and consistent people policies and practices, empowering individuals who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) as well as their allies and advocates to ensure everyone has a full and equal opportunity to contribute and succeed.
Diana Kienle, one of the co-leads of the Pride ERG, says, “It’s important in the business environment that everyone feels respected and heard. In order for that to take place, someone must first raise their hand and be that voice. I want to lend my voice to support others so they know it is safe to be themselves in their work environment.”
This Pride Month, we want to bring the relevance of LGBT expression to all employees. In a special town hall/webinar, we’re hosting Michael Sam, who was the SEC Defensive Player of the Year as senior at MO; is the first publicly gay player to be drafted in the NFL; was the 2014 Arthur Ashe Courage Award Winner; and just signed with CFL's Montreal Alouettes. We’re looking forward to hearing Michael’s insights and experiences as an openly gay man in the field of professional sports.

There is a role for everyone, in this particular case, how allies support progress. After Pride Month is over, the Pride ERG will continue to promote inclusion in the workplace for all individuals, reminding all employees of the importance of being respectful of others, and, of course, having the “courage to be.”
